Welcome to R.E. Thompson Intermediate School! Our faculty and staff are committed to the success of every student. It is our duty and privilege to foster the skills that will enable every student to learn, serve, and lead on their road to become lifelong learners. Our theme this year is "It's Our Time to Shine!" We are excited to work diligently with all our students and to see their success, mastery, and growth this year. 

I began my career in education in 2005. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in Biology and English as a Second Language (P-12), a Master’s degree in Secondary Education in Biology, Education Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership, and an Instructional Leadership Certification all from The University of North Alabama.  I am currently a doctoral candidate in Educational and Organizational Leadership at Samford University.  I taught science courses for seven years, worked as an Alabama Math and Science Technology Initiative (AMSTI) Support Specialist for Region 1 for two years, an Instructional Coach at the secondary and elementary levels for four years, and served as Assistant Principal at Auburn Junior High from 2019-2023. I am excited for another great year at R.E. Thompson!   

I maintain an open-door policy with all stakeholders and encourage you to become involved in the many activities sponsored by our school and Parent Volunteer Organization.
